Training 2016 | How to structure a scientific article

With the support of CEG, on June 8th, 2016, the training session “How to structure a scientific article” took place in at IGOT, organized by Profs. Maria João Alcoforado and Herculano Cachinho, addressed to researchers in both Earth Sciences and Social Sciences.

This session brought together 50 researchers from various institutions (CEG-IGOT, ICS, FLUP, FCSH, CIES).

Of the 45 completed questionnaires evaluating the session:

• 89% recognized the initiative and the theme as excellent;
• 91% found the session to be very useful; and
• 94% were of the opinion that it was excellent and / or good for their professional area.

Suggested  themes for future Finisterra initiatives include:

1. where to publish;
2. criteria for selecting the best scientific journals in the research area;
3. best platforms for disseminating scientific work;
4. techniques for image editing;
5. software to support bibliographic citations.
