Influencia de la nutrición enteral en el bienestar de los adultos enfermos: scoping review

Resumen

RESUMEN

Introducción: Los beneficios de la nutrición enteral en personas enfermas han sido ampliamente descritos, siendo multidimensional su influencia en el confort. Además de la importancia central que asume en la dimensión física del confort y la recuperación del enfermo, su influencia en otras dimensiones puede tener un papel preponderante, contribuyendo a la consecución de objetivos terapéuticos y promoviendo la calidad de vida.

Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia científica disponible sobre las dimensiones de confort que son influenciadas por la nutrición enteral en adultos enfermos.

Métodos: Revisión de alcance realizada según la metodología del Instituto Joanna Briggs. Dos revisores independientes definieron los criterios de elegibilidad y la estrategia de investigación y llevaron a cabo la selección, análisis y síntesis de los estudios.

Resultados: De los artículos analizados emergen las dimensiones física, social y psicoespiritual del confort influenciadas por la nutrición enteral.

Conclusion: Se concluye que la nutrición enteral influye en el confort de la persona enferma y su familia, la cual puede ser positiva o negativa dependiendo del contexto de salud o etapa de la vida en la que se hace necesaria. Es necesario realizar más estudios y nuevas reflexiones sobre este tema.
