Introduction: The number of older people living with HIV has been increasing globally, posing new challenges to health systems, which are often marked by fragmented approaches. Nursing interventions play a strategic role in promoting health management for this population.
Objetive: To map the evidence on nursing interventions that promote health management in older people living with HIV.
Methods: Scoping review, completed in April 2025, conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines. The search was carried out in CINAHL Complete and MEDLINE Complete. Primary and secondary studies that included interventions promoting health management in older people living with HIV were considered. Studies written in Portuguese, English, and Spanish were included. No time limit was set.
Results: Five articles published between 2011 and 2019 were included. The identified interventions were grouped into three categories: individualized assessment, self-management empowerment, and health decision-making participation.
Conclusion: The development of individualized interventions is recommended, along with studies in low-resource settings that cover all stages of HIV infection and include all HIV key populations.
