Realidad virtual en el turismo del Duero: un enfoque innovador del marketing digital

Resumen

Introducción: El turismo en el Duero requiere estrategias innovadoras para reforzar su competitividad. La Realidad Virtual (RV) surge como una tecnología inmersiva con alto potencial para el marketing digital, permitiendo a los visitantes explorar destinos antes del viaje físico. Este estudio, basado en la Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) Theory, analiza la adopción de la RV como herramienta para la promoción turística de la región.

Objetivo: Evaluar las percepciones de los actores del turismo del Duero sobre la RV, identificando desafíos, oportunidades e impactos esperados en la promoción del destino, así como los factores tecnológicos, organizativos y ambientales que influyen en su adopción.

Métodos: Se aplicó un enfoque cualitativo mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas a siete agentes del sector turístico, incluidos representantes de bodegas, agencias de viajes, alojamientos locales y unidades hoteleras. Las entrevistas, realizadas entre mayo y julio de 2024, fueron analizadas mediante análisis de contenido con el software Nvivo.

Resultados: Los participantes reconocen que la RV puede aumentar la atractividad del Duero, diversificar la oferta turística y reforzar la identidad cultural de la región. Sin embargo, señalan barreras como altos costes de implementación, limitaciones de infraestructura y necesidad de formación técnica.

Conclusión: El estudio contribuye a la literatura sobre innovación en turismo al demostrar cómo los factores tecnológicos, organizativos y ambientales condicionan la adopción de la RV. Las conclusiones ofrecen recomendaciones para políticas públicas de digitalización, capacitación profesional y proyectos piloto que favorezcan la implementación sostenible de la RV en el enoturismo.
