Seguridad quirúrgica: intervenciones de enfermería que promueven la normotermia en el período perioperatório

Resumen

Introducción: El mantenimiento de la normotermia es una medida esencial de seguridad quirúrgica e integra el Conjunto de Intervenciones para la prevención de la Infección del Sitio Quirúrgico (ISQ). La variabilidad de las prácticas y la falta de estandarización justifican el mapeo de la evidencia disponible sobre las intervenciones de enfermería en este ámbito. Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia científica sobre las intervenciones de enfermería que promueven la normotermia en el período perioperatorio, identificando métodos, recursos y vacíos existentes en el conocimiento.

Métodos: Scoping Review desarrollada según el Joanna Briggs Institute Manual for Evidence Synthesis (2024). La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos CINAHL Complete, MEDLINE Complete y SCOPUS, complementada con literatura gris en el RCAAP. Se incluyeron estudios en portugués, inglés y español publicados hasta 2024.

Resultados: Se incluyeron 18 estudios que evidencian factores de riesgo para la hipotermia y diversas estrategias de termorregulación. Las intervenciones más descritas fueron el precalentamiento, el calentamiento activo y pasivo y los programas multimodales de prevención. Se observó heterogeneidad metodológica y escasez de estudios europeos.

Conclusión: El mapeo evidenció la diversidad de intervenciones de enfermería en la promoción de la normotermia y resalta la necesidad de estandarizar prácticas, fortalecer la formación de los equipos e impulsar la investigación futura sobre la relación entre normotermia y prevención de la ISQ en el contexto nacional.
