Launch of Sinais de Cena, 2025

The launch of the new issue of Sinais de Cena: Journal of Theatre and Performing Arts Studies (series III, no. 4), dedicated to the theme “Performance, Ecology, and the End of the World”, coordinated by Gustavo Vicente, will take place next june 26, at Jardins do Bombarda – Cultural and Community Centre, in Lisbon, at 6:30 pm.
This issue brings together, in its Thematic Dossier, a series of essays that explore the intersections between the performing arts and the urgent ecological challenges of our time.
Highlights include an interview with choreographer and playwright Lígia Soares, as well as a portfolio dedicated to the work of artist Estelle Valente.
The journal also features its regular sections: Passos em Volta, focused on theatre reviews, and Leituras, which in this edition offers a special tribute to Luiz Francisco Rebello, a pivotal figure in Portuguese theatre with a long-standing connection to Sinais de Cena.

The launch will include contributions from:
Marta Brites Rosa, Emília Costa, Teresa Faria, Gustavo Vicente, and Estelle Valente.
