Abstract

The visible and active puppeteer on stage boosted many other possibilities and the mixing of other artistic disciplines in shows. This is the concept that A Bolha – Teatro com Marionetas implements
in its creative processes, promoting a direct and close relationship between puppet and puppeteer, with an emphasis on the complementarity between the two. The methodological approach, work and research techniques are presented, according to a personal perspective of the creative directors of the artistic structure, as well as theoretical influences and functional bases for the construction of puppets and dramaturgies. The puppet takes on a new dimension in the scenic space, as the result of new practical approaches and a complementary relationship with the actor, and A Bolha intends to further explore and continue this dimension.
