The second issue of Sinais de Cena follows the editorial line outlined at the opening of the magazine, this time dedicated mainly to Portuguese theatrical practice. News from outside, critical essays on shows, along with the Thematic Dossier, academic articles and the Loose Archive (this time dedicated to Teatro Avenida), continue to structure the identity of this publication, aimed at all those interested in the performing arts. . Attention to the Portuguese reality emerges in an interview with Manuela de Freitas. If in Applied Studies one still talks about the Portuguese reality, in the article that Luiz Francisco Rebello writes about theatre magazines, João Maria André already talks, in a global panorama, about the issue of the body and pain in the performing arts, while the British director Alexander Kelly writes a brief testimony about his practice of teaching role-playing, and French playwright Patrice Pavis judiciously and systematically addresses the general issue of role-playing. Portfolio recalls and celebrates – in images – the 30 years of existence of O Bando.
