Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease and a public health problem. Diabetes literacy is the basis for incorporating self-management behaviors in people with diabetes. A Scoping Review was developed based on the PCC method, with the question: what are the nursing interventions in health education for the elderly with Diabetes Mellitus? The research was carried out with MeSH descriptors, combining the research strategy: Nurs * AND Health Education AND Aged OR Diabetes Mellitus. Articles published between 10/2014 to 12/2019 were searched in scientific databases. The selection process of the studies was developed in accordance with the PRISMA 2009 Flow Diagram, ensuring their methodological quality. The evidence obtained shows that nurses must provide health education to the diabetic elderly person and his family, adopting strategies in view of the individual learning capacity, cognitive ability and literacy level.
