Abstract

The Impact Science'23 Conference took place on October 1 and 2 at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, with the following objectives:

  • Promote the dissemination and exploration of the European project PREDICT - JOBS OF THE FUTURE WITH AI 4 VET INCLUSION.
  • Foster knowledge exchange and cooperation across four scientific domains: Life and Health Sciences, Natural and Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Exact and Engineering Sciences.
  • Facilitate the integration of students into scientific events and empower them for presenting research results.

The conference was organized by the Research Unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (UI_IPSantarém), with the following Scientific Committee:

Helena Mira (ESA), Igor Dias (ESA), Maria Adelaide Oliveira (ESA), João Paulo Brito (ESDRM), Luís Cid (ESDRM), Rafael Oliveira (ESDRM), Ana da Silva (ESE), Isabel Piscalho (ESE), Susana Colaço (ESE), Filipe Madeira (ESGT), Nuno Leitão (ESGT), Pedro Oliveira (ESGT), Catarina Afonso (ESS), José Amendoeira (ESS), Maria Regina Ferreira (ESS), Manuel José Lopes (University of Évora), Maria Potes Barbas (PREDICT Coordinator), Paula Pinto (UI_IPS Subdirector), Gabriela Neagu (PREDICT – ICCV), Migle Koch (PREDICT – ShipCon), Maria Koutsombogera (PREDICT – Endurae), Evangelos Kapros (PREDICT – Endurae), Natassa Kazantzidou (PREDICT – IDEC), and Orestis Dagiandas (PREDICT – IDEC).

A total of 55 abstracts were approved for presentation at the conference, with 17 for oral communication and the remainder for presentation in poster format.
