Where is Portugal?
DOI:

This article examines the various locations of Portugal on the World map. It then attempts to find coherence in the collection of sites that are summarized by a single toponym. At the same time, it illustrates the diversity of meanings of a place from my experience as an individual, both rational and emotional, esthetic or ethical, which are presented in boxes inserted in the text. For me as a person, the question “Where are my Portugals?” also arises, and the many answers I have given through my various geographical practices are not easily unified.
