Abstract

Este artigo trata do fundamento científico da previsão do tempo, bem como de aspectos operacionais fundamentais a ela associados. Em particular mostra-se como o início da moderna previsão do tempo resultou da visão de John von Neumann, que interligou de forma brilhante ciência, tecnologia e gestão.
