Training 2018 | Discover, Publish and Measure Science

With the support of CEG, on May 3, 2018, a training session entitled, “Discover, publish and measure science” was held at IGOT, led by Isabel Rebolho (Coordinator of the Reference and User Training Service), Licínia Ferreira (Reference Centre, Scientific Knowledge Management and User Training) and Manuel Moreno (Coordinator of the Scientific Knowledge Management Service).

This session explored several themes, including the diversity of existing electronic resources, such as b-On; the various platforms for the collection, analysis and dissemination of scientific production, including Ciência Vitae or ORCID; the ULisboa Repository in open access; and measuring science and projecting research through Scopus and WoS.

25 IGOT researchers participated in this session, 87% of whom rated it as very good or excellent.

How to communicate science to the general public and ways of accessing publications in the different repositories of the University of Lisbon, were identified as topics to be developed in the future.
