Training 2024 | Practical Applications of AI for Scientific Production

In this face-to-face session given by dada por Cláudia Viana (CEG/IGOT-ULisboa), practical ways of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in different academic contexts were explored. Tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, ScopusID, Copilot, NotebookLM and the new IAedu platform (FCT/FCCN) were presented, demonstrating how they can support literature reviews, scientific writing, research communication and much more, without compromising authorship or rigour.

The training also focused on ethical and methodological issues, showing how AI can be used with purpose, creativity and critical awareness. More than simply “using tools”, the aim was to understand how to think with AI and to enhance it as a partner in the scientific process.

This training was intended for lecturers, researchers and students interested in exploring the potential of AI in scientific production.
