Abstract

The aim of this text is to present the results of the projects developed by preschool educators that combined interdisciplinary learning experiences concerning the relation between visual arts and mathematics. The chosen methodology was the Arts Based Educational Research (ABER) learning model. The analyzed corpus includes a set of projects that explore both areas of knowledge, or only one of them, revealing their didactic contribution to the knowledge and understanding of various concepts of artistic literacy and geometric shape structures, as well as the development of visualization.
