O programa eco-escolas na formação de futuras gerações para o turismo sustentável

Resumo

Introdução: A transição para um turismo sustentável exige práticas inovadoras que promovam a eficiência energética e a consciencialização ambiental. O Programa Eco-Escolas, alinhado com os ODS e a Agenda 2030, é fundamental para formar cidadãos e profissionais comprometidos com a sustentabilidade.

Objetivo: Identificar como o Programa Eco-Escolas no Ensino Superior pode fomentar práticas energéticas sustentáveis e transformar hábitos de consumo, procurando incentivar o uso de energias renováveis e a implementação de políticas que promovam instituições mais ecológicas.

Métodos: Adotou-se uma abordagem qualitativa, baseada na metodologia de estudo de caso, e procedeu-se à análise descritiva dos dados do questionário da Auditoria Ambiental relativo ao Tema Complementar da Energia, aplicado a 175 participantes.

Resultados: Os resultados indicam um desempenho intermédio-alto no Tema Complementar da Energia, com uma média de 9,47 pontos em 15, revelando uma variabilidade moderada entre os respondentes, destacando-se um forte hábito de poupança de energia, embora persistam lacunas no conhecimento e na prática de alguns comportamentos sustentáveis.

Conclusão: Apurou-se que o Programa Eco-Escolas é um instrumento transformador, capaz de formar cidadãos conscientes e promover práticas energéticas sustentáveis, e que as suas iniciativas fortalecem a redução do consumo desnecessário e contribuem para desenvolver destinos turísticos sustentáveis.
