Adaptação transcultural da escala Nurse Manager Practice Environment para o contexto português

Resumo

Introdução: A importância do Ambiente de Prática de Enfermagem tem vindo a ser corroborada por um número crescente de evidências científicas, resultantes maioritariamente de estudos realizados junto de equipas de enfermagem da prática clínica em contexto hospitalar. Dado o papel específico e preponderante do enfermeiro gestor nas organizações de saúde, assume igual pertinência avaliar o seu ambiente de prática de enfermagem e determinar os respetivos impactes.

Objetivo: Adaptar a escala Nurse Manager Practice Environment (NMPE) para o contexto português.

Métodos: Estudo metodológico, que seguiu o método utilizado pelo consórcio RN4CAST - Nurse Forecasting in Europe (Squires et al., 2013). Foram cumpridas as etapas de tradução, síntese, retrotradução, avaliação semântica e da validade de conteúdo e pré-teste.

Resultados: Os valores obtidos relativamente ao índice de validade de conteúdo foram 0,80 para a totalidade da escala (S - CVI) e 0,78 para cada item (I - CVI). Todos os peritos concordaram que a equivalência da tradução foi mantida. Os resultados do pré-teste não determinaram a necessidade de alterações e as entrevistas cognitivas revelaram bons níveis de compreensão.

Conclusão: A versão portuguesa da escala NMPE evidenciou equivalência de conteúdo, semântica, técnica e conceptual.
