The objective of this article is to analyse the biographies of student-trainers enrolled in the Supervised Internship (SI) discipline in Sports Coaches of a course in Physical Education. In order to reach this goal, our methodological option was to conduct semi-structured interviews with nine student-coaches of the Physical Education course at a public higher education institution, based on the theory of lifelong learning by Peter Jarvis (2009b). The results indicated the need to consider the different life experiences of student-coaches during SI. By understanding the students' personal and sporting trajectory, SI can be structured in a way that respects the expectations of each student, stimulating their active participation during this important formative moment.
