Nr. 1 (June 2004)

					View Nr. 1 (June 2004)

The inaugural issue is dedicated to the presentation of Sinais de Cena as a magazine resulting from the efforts and wishes of the Portuguese Association of Theatre Critics (APCT) and the Centre for Theatre Studies of the University of Lisbon (CET). It includes a thematic dossier dedicated to the first public presentation of the renewed Portuguese Association of Theater Critics: the attribution of the Critics Prize and Special Mentions, as well as an interview with Pedro Penim and a Loose Archive dedicated to the actor Taborda. From outside, news arrives of a show by Mnouchkine, as well as a Spanish magazine of great quality and truly international scope, and even a book in German on theatre. And if the rubric “Network” takes us through this other way of accessing realities far from us (via the internet), Applied Studies develop in a more thoughtful way themes for reflection such as the historiographical excavation of Luiz Francisco Rebello and the glow of aesthetics by Georges Banu and also a brief note by José Pedro Serra on Sophocles' theatre.
