The purpose of this article is to analyze the effect of promoting food on the development and healthy growth of children in the study developed in a Care Unit in the Community.
As methodology, the stages of health planning were adopted and as a theoretical reference the Betty Neuman systems model. The health diagnosis carried out allowed to identify the following nursing diagnoses: group with overweight and group with obesity. Given this reality, it became essential to develop a community intervention project “Eat well, Grow Healthy”.
In order to support the intervention, identify and analyze the scientific evidence on the strategies used by nurses in promoting healthy eating in primary school children, a Scoping Review was carried out.
I can conclude that after the intervention there was a gain in knowledge on this topic.
