This article aims to analyze the curricular unit “Distance Education” and understand what were the necessary adaptations in the face of the pandemic COVID-19. This course is taught in the second year of the degree in “Multimedia Production in Education”, at the Escola Superior de Educação (ESES) do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém.
In order to better understand this unusual reality, first of all we will introduce the impact of this pandemic and its changes in teaching and learning at international and national level, going through the theme of non-face-to-face assessment, a topic that is so worrying and debated.
At the international level, we give the example of the Working Group of Crue Universidades España through the “Report on Non-Presential Assessment Procedures. Study of the Impact of its implementation in Spanish Universities and Recommendations”, at national level through Order Nº86 / R / 2020 of Universidade Aberta, dedicated to teaching in eLearning, and at local level the example adopted by the Higher School of Education of IPSantarém.
