The Photo Library of the Centre for Geographic Studies at the University of Lisbon (CEG-IGOT-ULisboa) carried out the full recovery of the original photographic collection of Francisco Tenreiro (1921-1963) deposited in this science archive. This action was associated with the preparation of the exhibition Francisco Tenreiro, geographer, jointly organized by the CEG Photo Library and the National Library of São Tomé and Príncipe, in 2024. On this occasion, a set of photographic materials, mostly obtained in the context of fieldwork practice, were located in the Francisco Tenreiro Family Archive, fully digitized in the CEG Photo Library and integrated into the collection. The photographic heritage thus gathered opens new perspectives for the study of Francisco Tenreiro's career and scientific work and allows us to foresee new uses and ways of disseminating these materials.
