Scientific Article: from the idea to PDF

Ângela Santos (IGOT-UL)  &  Teresa Cabrita (IGOT-UL)

The publication of scientific articles is one of the forms of science communication that researchers use to validate and disseminate the results of their research and thus contribute to the advancement of science. Preparing and writing a high-quality scientific article is not as complicated as it might seem at first. In addition to the intrinsic value of a study, the preparation of a research article on that study must involve presentation care in a way that may condition the way editors and evaluators perceive the article and determine the success of the submission. This training action helps to clarify some fundamental aspects about the writing of scientific articles, presenting examples that will help the writing of a successful article, for master's or doctoral students, or other researchers at the beginning of their careers.
